SCOOTER GOES "HOME" WITH WALTER

A few hours ago, I heard some pretty wonderful news.  Artist, and friend to Fashion Forward Men, Scooter LaForge shared with me his involvement with designer Walter Van Beirendonck for his S/S 2014 Collection "Home Sweet Home".  A fan of both, I think their colorful, wacky, and sometimes demented aesthetics would mesh perfectly.  

Not knowing much about Beirendonck's personal life,  Scooter shares with me that he has a love for  African masks, and has collected several.  Safe to assume this was after their discussion, Walter began to send images of the masks to Scooter, along with with images of another thing he enjoys to collect...toys      (can you see why I think they are the perfect pairing now?) Using these images as a source of inspiration, Scooter interpreted the items into the painting,  Scooter even managed to incorporate Beirendonck's home in Antwerp into artwork.  

Obviously appreciating LaForge's creation, the designer decided to share a part of his private life to the masses.  He printed the work on silk tees for his latest collection.  Tees that would make great collectors items themselves.  

Fun, bold, and cool, Beirendonck's S/S 2014collection possesses all the qualities  we have come to love him for.
