FFM CREATOR RUDY REED TEAMS UP WITH SINEM YAZICI

The past few months have been pretty busy ones for Rudy Reed (stylist) and Sinem Yazici (photographer). Pushing each others talents, the duo recognizes there's more to their jobs other than   playing with pretty clothes and capturing beautiful people. Their goal is to tell a story. 

 For one of their latest stories, Rudy found himself becoming more obsessed (than normal) with the 80's. And how can you think about the 80's without David Bowie popping into your head? Inspired by the rock icons over the top style, androgyny, and oddly enough...twins, Rudy pitched the idea to Sinem. And with that Grey Matters was born.  

Going into the project, Reed and Yazici knew they wanted two models for the editorial. The first choice, Florian Neuville, was a no brainer.  Not only a muse to Sinem, Florian's ability to follow direction, and fall into character quickly made for him being an obvious decision. Surprised, casting for the second model was pretty easy. As soon as the creative duo came across Loammi Goetghebeur's portfolio, they knew that they found their guy.  

Wanting to add a certain regal darkness to the story, Reed primarily used creations from Landeros New York in the story.  Making up for a much needed balance, lines Ninh Collection, Religion UK, and Robin's Jean were also instrumental in making this story what it was.
