Before there was Pharrell, there was Neneh Cherry. But even before her, there was Malcolm McLaren and his love affair with fashion icon Vivienne Westwood.  Pioneers of for one of the most recognized styles in the world, it would be one of Vivienne's very  first collections  that would seal her fate as one of the greats in the fashion world. 

 Backed up by her beau, Vivienne was inspired by pirates. She was encouraged to follow her vision. The end result would be a collection that infused, punk, hobo, androgyny, juxtaposed with more structured silhouettes often made of tweed, 

A younger generation is paying homage to signature looks of the past.  Adding a military influenced  modern day twist is what stylist Jessica Bobince has done in this feature now seen in the January 2016 issue of Sportswear International.
