Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo has always made us wonder about her thought process when it comes to her creations. and although she surrounds herself in a cloak of mystery her cult like followers continue to grow each year.
Calling the latest collection Darkroom, Kawakubo explains the process of developing photos. Suggesting that creations and developments happen in dark setttings quite often.
During the show, models appeared from the shadows, finding their way to spotlights which would allow us to see the well tailored pieces.
Kawakubo also teamed up with sculptor Willie Cole. Cole created the headpieces that were made from women's high-heeled shoes.
