PETER BERLIN

Photographer... Model...  Sex Symbol... Porn Star...Narcissist... 70's Icon...

Artist Peter Berlin is recognized and remembered for many different reasons.  For me, it was his sexually charged sense of style.  Whether it was leather, or skin tight denim (exposing a massive bulge), or his bowl blond hair, Peter was a man that was pretty difficult to ignore.  His look was an infusion of cowboy, biker, and hippie.  And if you are currently trying to visualize that, you are probably seeing a hot mess.  Its true.that sounds like a lot going on.  And it was... But for some reason it worked on Peter.  Anyone else who look down right stupid. 

 Born in Berlin, Peter was the great nephew of a well known photographer.  It's unclear if this is where he first learned about photography, but the young man obviously had a passion for it.  While in his 20's Berlin worked as photographer for a German television program capturing images of Catherine Deneuve, and Alfred Hitchcock.

Celebrity after celebrity was captured by his lens, leaving Berlin more and more unphased.  

One of vanity, Berlin began taking images of himself.  And people began to take notice.  So much so, he found himself in the circles of Robert Mapplethorpe, Andy Warhol, and Illustrator Tom of Finland.
