Visions Of An Illustrator

DOMENICO CORDUA

Another illustrator has fallen under our radars here at FFM.  And honestly, its about time.  Although born in Naples, the artist that answers to the name Domenico Cordua, currently resides in London.

Not to be confused as anything ordinary, Cordua's work is surreal, twisted, dark, and often times comical.  His illustrations are one of fantasy, and like the works of Peter Kunshik Chung (creator of Aeon Flux  ), the young illustrators work pulls you into the magical world that lies in his head.

Clearly a lover of fashion, Domenico has used real individuals such as famous albino model Shaun Ross as a source of inspiration, along with fictional characters like Myrtle from American Horror Story's Coven. An obvious fan of the show, the artist has made a limited edition of tee shirts that captures the opulent witch screaming her last words BALENCIAGA.

As fashion week bounces from city to city,  Cordua has probably found himself being a tad busier. Sharing with the public his interpretations of the collections, the artist has release a series of many of our favorite menswear collections.
