JEFFREY WILLIAMS WINS THE SECOND SEASON OF THE FASHION SHOW
The second season of Bravo's hit show came with several major changes, and for the better. Although adorable, singer Kelly Rowland was replaced by legendary supermodel IMAN. The show that displays the talents of designers aiming to reach a higher plateau in their careers had a completely different feel, and noticeably a larger budget.
Aside from the new structuring taking place on the show, another triumph had taken place. A triumph that even the numerous seasons of Project Runway was ever able to deliver... Between the two shows, Jeffrey Williams is the first African American to ever win.
From the jump, Williams appeared to be mild mannered and even tempered, and continued to stay that way the entire season. His fashion forward designs and ability to listen and accept the critiques from the judges in a humble way showed that he was there to win.
Graduating from FIT in 2009, the eager designer has already worked with designers such as Alexander Wang, and Peter Som. As the winner of the latest season, Jeffrey has won a spread in Harper's Bazarr magazine, a great accomplishment for any newcomer.
Congrats J.W. We will be keeping an eye on you.
